Land, take a 3-minute taxi to our base (on us) and drive away. The entire rental is designed around self-service.
Your camper is parked and ready at our base at Flugvellir 15, 1.8 km (3 minutes by taxi) from Keflavík International Airport. The taxi is on us, both ways. No rental desk, no queue and no trip into Reykjavík to collect your vehicle.
How it works
- Book online. Choose your camper, insurance and free gear.
- Check in online. Add drivers and driving licences and sign the rental agreement before you fly.
- Get your instructions. Before pickup we email the address of our base, the exact location of your camper and the lockbox code.
- Land and take a taxi. Taxis wait outside Arrivals around the clock. The ride to our base takes about 3 minutes.
- Open the lockbox and drive away. Take the key, check the camper and start your trip.
The taxi is on us
- Any licensed taxi. We recommend Hreyfill, BSR or A-Stöðin (Airport Taxi). You may choose any taxi in the line outside Arrivals.
- About 2,500 ISK. Make sure the meter is on, or agree the price before you get in, and pay by card.
- Keep the receipt. We refund up to 3,500 ISK per trip, from the airport to our base and back again.
Why pick up next to the airport?
- Start your trip right away. The Reykjanes peninsula, the Blue Lagoon area and the south coast are close to the airport.
- No opening hours to catch. Late flight or early morning, pickup is self-service and taxis run 24/7.
- No shuttle timetable. You leave when you are ready, not when the next bus goes.
Returning the camper
Park at our base in the area shown in your return instructions, lock the camper and put the key back in the lockbox. Return it with the same fuel level as at pickup. Then call a taxi to Departures (A-Stöðin +354 420 1212 is closest, or use the Hreyfill app); we refund that trip too. Allow at least 30 minutes from drop-off to check-in. Good to know
- The minimum rental is 3 days.
- Online Check-in must be completed before pickup.
- If your flight is delayed, your camper waits. Contact us if a major delay changes your plans.
